South Nutana Park

South Nutana Park is a residential neighbourhood in Saskatoon's south end. Established during the 1950's and 1960's, it lies within the boundaries of Adelaide Street to the north, Circle Drive to the south, Cumberland Avenue to the west, and Preston Avenue to the east.

Recreation

Running through the centre of the neighbourhood is the 30-acre Harold Tatler Park, which comprises just over 10% of the total neighbourhood area. Completely re-developed in 1999/2000, the park features senior and junior ball diamonds, 2 soccer pitches, a half-court basketball pad, numerous walking and bicycle paths, toboggan hills, a recreation unit with paddling pool and playground structures.

Schools and Job Training

South Nutana Park is served by Prince Philip School (K-8 public elementary), L'ecole Canadienne-Francaise (7-12 French-language high school), and is home to the Saskatchewan Abilities Council.

South Nutana Park is home to approximately 2700 people.

Association Purpose and Objectives

"The South Nutana Park Community Association is a non-profit organization representing the people living south of Adelaide Street between Cumberland and Preston Avenues.

"The volunteers who serve on the executive coordinate recreational, sports, and social activities, encourage a sense of community and act as a liaison with the City on a number of issues affecting the neighbourhood.

"The Association's objectives are to represent the interests of residents, provide safe and enjoyable leisure programs and enhance quality of life in the neighbourhood."
